Indigo in Waiting

We need the rainbow to come out together 
But what if indigo is waiting for a change of weather  

Can we convince her with a smile 
To flicker her flame for just a while

Long enough for the full spectrum 
To shine its rays over the kingdom 

And open the hearts to clear vision
Instead of reactive computation

Can we convince her with a yell
To beam her beauty for a spell

Long enough to effect the outcome
In this game of fighting for freedom

And maybe by then she’ll see how 
Important her part is and vow

To not again sit and wait any longer
When we need the rainbow to come out together
